Château Hosanna: Vineyards

It is not possible to describe the location of the château because, as I have already explained, the wines are made by the Moueix team in the cellars of Château Providence (pictured below, sitting behind one section of the Hosanna vineyard). This does seem to lead to a little confusion as to the identity of Château Providence, and it is not unknown for some publications I have leafed through to label it as ‘Château Hosanna’. Such an error is perhaps understandable, as the Hosanna vineyards certainly sit next to Château Providence, and both are in the ownership of J-P Moueix Etablissements.

The vines account for approximately 4.5 hectares of the Pomerol appellation, and enjoy an excellent position on the Pomerol plateau. The vineyard has a number of prestigious neighbours. Directly to the north are the vines of Château Lafleur and Château La Fleur-Pétrus, to the east Petrus itself, and just down the road from Petrus and thus to the south of Hosanna there is Vieux Château Certan and Château Certan de May. To the west are, presumably, the vines of Château Providence.
