Château La Violette: Tasting & Drinking
My experience with the wines of the Péré-Vergé estates is limited to those I have tasted at Château Le Gay, or during the primeur tastings. The style is certainly distinctive and to some extent it can be extrapolated from the elements of the winemaking I describe above. The colour is generally dark, the wine seductive in terms of texture and weight. It is a very modern style of Pomerol, richly endowed, dark and oaky.
