Château Latour à Pomerol: Tasting & Drinking
Looking now to the wines of Château Latour à Pomerol, they are on the whole up to the high standard that we should expect from the Moueix family. I have come across one or two more mature vintages over the years, although many of my encounters with the wine do relate to primeur or other samples. In very recent vintages, favourable conditions during 2012 and 2009 have allowed the production of some really enticing wines, rich in dark and macerated cherry fruit, and full of potential. In lesser vintages, such as 2011 and 2012, the wines remain interesting, especially in the more recent of these two vintages.
