Château Feytit-Clinet: Tasting & Drinking
I first became aware of the wines of Château Feytit-Clinet in the first few years following the takeover by Michel-Jack and Jeremy Chasseuil, encountering in those early days both the 2003 and 2000 vintages, which were already showing that this was a property with fine potential. More recent vintages, especially from favourable years such as 2010, have shown that to some extent this potential has been realised. Perhaps reflecting the fact that this is still a domaine undergoing growth and development, the wines of Jeremy Chasseuil tend towards a certain restraint; there is no over-extraction here, and together with fresh acidity this makes for a nicely balanced style.
