Château La Croix de Gay: Tasting & Drinking
My experience of the wines of Château La Croix de Gay largely comes from tastings in Bordeaux rather than pulling mature bottles from my cellar. On the whole the wines have tended to show well, never thrilling in the way the top estates of this appellation can, but they are certainly of good quality. What is more, there seems to be some consistency here; while they may not send Petrus-like shivers down my spine, neither do they disappoint. I think this is an admirable achievement considering the domaine’s story and the scattered nature of its vineyards.
