The attention to detail and meticulous approach in both vineyard and cellar comes through in the finished wines. While I have only tasted a handful of vintages, the quality is clear to see.

The property’s stratospheric rise within the St Emilion appellation reflects this. The withdrawal from this arrangement prompted a rapid rise in effort and quality, with even the step up from basic St Emilion to St Emilion Grand Cru, a significant first step, being a relatively recent event. There followed, under the direction of Karl and Yann Todeschini, a seismic shift in viticulture and winemaking. The end result was promotion to St Emilion Grand Cru Classé in 2022.
