Château Grand Corbin-Despagne: Tasting & Drinking
There is a particular style to the wines from the Corbin sector to my palate, a rather old-school style which may (or may not!) come from the griddling effect of the warmer, more sandy soils. Whatever the explanation, they often show a smoky and savoury character, occasionally delicate and soft, and I often think they may appeal to fans of long-lost styles, rather than the sweeter, more glossy, and more modern wines being produced in many corners of St Emilion today.
