Château Haut-Bergey: Vineyards

Château Haut-Bergey is nestled among the suburbs of Léognan, on the periphery of the city of Bordeaux. The suburban houses are not packed in so tightly here as they are around, for example, Château Haut-Brion and Château Pape-Clément though, so the surroundings do not feel quite so cramped. The closest neighbour of any repute is, as already mentioned, Château Malartic-Lagravière, which lies about half a kilometre to the east, as the crow flies. Just a little further south are Château de France, Château de Fieuzal and Château Le Sartre. To the southwest lies Domaine de Chevalier.

The vineyard today amounts to 28.5 hectares, the soils characterised by gravel from the Quaternary era, as typifies the Pessac-Léognan appellation.
