Château Lespault-Martillac: Tasting & Drinking
The wines of Château Lespault-Martillac under the direction of Olivier Bernard are nothing short of convincing. As quality at Domaine de Chevalier climbs, an ascent matched only by the estate’s prices, Château Lespault-Martillac is an obvious alternative option. The wines have the same appellation and a similar style, with good concentration and purity of fruit in the red wine, and a fresh, bright, polished and suave conviction to the white. And, as I have already intimated, as long as you have your Bordeaux spectacles on the wines offer good value, with prices lower than those at many more famous Pessac-Léognan cuvées. (6/10/16)
