Château Palmer: Tasting & Drinking
Château Palmer has a keen following, and I have observed many flock to the wines at tastings. I agree that they are indeed very good, although as recently as the early years of the 21st century I was not so sure that the wines, in terms of intrinsic quality, were quite so distant from the rest of the Margaux pack. I thought this may have reflected an overall improvement across the appellation, the result of new investment at many properties, such as Château Kirwan and Château Lascombes, to name just two.
