Domaine de l’Ecu: Vineyards

The domaine is located in La Bretonnière, a small hamlet that sits just southwest of Le Landreau. This is in the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellation, although the domaine is a few miles distant from either of the rivers for which these wines are named. The village of La Bretonnière lies almost directly east of Nantes, close to the Butte de la Roche. Although Le Landreau and La Bretonnière are surrounded on all sides by vineyards, all of Guy’s and Frédéric’s vines are located in a scattered arc to the south of the village.

These other varieties include Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, to name just three.
