Domaine de la Charmoise: Tasting & Drinking
While this domaine may not carry the same cultish reputation as some of those mentioned on the first page of this profile, there is no denying the commitment of the proprietors, and the appeal of many of the wines. With a huge area of well-established vineyards committed to traditional varieties, predominantly Gamay with Sauvignon Blanc as a major supporting act, along with smaller plantings of Chenin Blanc, Côt and Romorantin, Henry Marionnet has a track record of turning out reliable and interesting wines, which also seem very true to their origins.
