Vine Revival: Tasting & Drinking
With just one wine produced so far this is bound to be a rather quick assessment. Suffice to say that the first vintage of the Terre de Gneiss displayed a fine purity and precision, and perhaps unsurprisingly it showed a clear family resemblance to the wines of Vincent Caillé of Domaine Le Fay d’Homme (which is no bad thing). The wine was bright and filled with the scents of perfumed dessert apples, but with a green apple freshness for balance. It was a very good result especially taking into account the fact this is the first vintage for this new project.
