Domaine de la Foliette: Tasting & Drinking

There is no doubt that the most significant wine made here is the potential cru communal La Haye Fouassière; 30 months on the lees for this cuvée seems typical, more than any cru in existence at the moment (18 or 24 months is the norm) and likely to be longer than La Haye-Fouassière itself, once ratified. The entry-level 1926 L’Origine and Clos de la Fontaine Vieilles Vignes both also have something to offer though, not least a sense of honesty and classicism.
