Clos Roche Blanche: Tasting & Drinking
Today, this domaine is no more, Catherine and Didier having sold on the vineyards. The house at Clos Roche Blanche remained in their possession though, and it was only Catherine’s passing in September 2022 that saw her really, finally, leave this domaine behind. During their retirement Catherine and Didier were no doubt a source of valuable information and advice for local vignerons, not least the young trio who took on the old Clos Roche Blanche vines.
In the meantime, we are left to ponder increasingly older bottles, or of course to look at the wines of those who have stepped in where Clos Roche Blanche once ruled. Noëlla Morantin has certainly proved herself with some interesting wines released over the past few years. Only time will tell how Laurent Saillard and Julien Pineau fare.
