The Cuvelier Portfolio, 2016

The update to my profile of Château Camensac, published a few weeks ago now with as full a history as I could cobble together, reminded me that this château was – up until the 1960s at least – once in the hands of the Cuvelier family. That in turn reminded me I really should publish these notes on ten wines from Château Moulin Riche and Château Léoville-Poyferré tasted with Anne Cuvelier last year. Both châteaux remain, along with Château Le Crock (not featured here), in the hands of the family today.

The Cuvelier Portfolio, 2016

The tasting took in the four most recent vintages, 2014 back to 2011. I have since retasted the 2013 Château Léoville-Poyferré after it was bottled, so to see this more recent and arguable more useful tasting note please see with my Bordeaux 2013 at Two Years report, or my Château Léoville-Poyferré profile.
