Le Clos Galerne: Tasting & Drinking
I first met Cédric Bourez in early 2020, and was fortunate enough to be able to taste a number of cuvées from 2018, his first vintage. To say I was smitten from the outset would be an understatement. The style here is pure, focused, minerally and packed with both flavour and substance, even if some of his earlier releases are also a tad strong on alcohol. It is clear to me that Cédric has hit the ground running, presumably drawing on his many years of experience working at various big-name domaines in Provence. I wish him luck for the future, and I hope he sticks at it, because these are exciting wines I would like to taste again and, it perhaps goes without saying, buy and drink for my own pleasure.
