Château Pierre-Bise: Tasting Notes
At present my notes are split over three pages. On the first of my three pages are my more recent notes, back to the 2021 vintage. On the second of these three pages are my notes on vintages from 2020 back to 2011. On this page, below, I present my notes from the 2010 vintage back to my very oldest notes.
The domaine provides us with a broad portfolio of wines from across the Anjou appellations. In order to try and maintain a sense of order I have divided my tasting notes up within each vintage, beginning with the various colours and styles within the Anjou appellation (Blanc, Gamay then Anjou-Villages) followed by Savennières (Clos de Coulaine and Clos le Grand Beaupréau), then the exalted Savennières Roche-aux-Moines, and finally the sweet wines. Rare appearances by Cabernet d’Anjou are slotted in at the start.
