Vincent Giraudon: Tasting & Drinking
While I admire the adventurous spirit found in and around the towns of Roanne and Feurs which has prompted local vignerons to plant varieties more commonly associated with Burgundy and the Rhône Valley, not only Aligoté as Vincent has chosen, but also Viognier, for me the reason to come wine-hunting here in the Côte Roannaise is Gamay. More specifically, Gamay-St-Romain, which chez Giraudon means his Tentation cuvée.
