La Grange Tiphaine: Tasting & Drinking
Coralie and Damien Delecheneau turn out a very enticing array of wines here; the Montlouis-sur-Loire cuvées are certainly superior to the white wines from Touraine, but even here there are successes, especially when the vintage brings benefits, as it did in 2009. Do not overlook the red wines from Touraine though; the top cuvées, featuring Côt and Cabernet Franc, are not to be missed.
Thanks to the work undertaken by Coralie and Damien, La Grange Tiphaine is yet another name redefining what the Montlouis-sur-Loire and Touraine appellations stand for, and it is helping to put this long-forgotten or too often-overlooked appellations back on the viticultural map.
