Château La Cardonne: Tasting & Drinking

So having hopped on board the enjambeur, and having piloted it between the stone pillars of the château’s gates (with surely only an inch or two of clearance either side) we headed round to the property’s vinification facilities. During my visit I toured the cellars, the tasting room and of course I visited the underground ‘cathedral’. I ended the day with a tasting of the 2019 vintage, a blind tasting of the wines of the estate including the super-cuvée Vn, and a dinner prepared by Andrew McInnes, an epicurean who clearly has culinary as well as commercial talents.
