Domaine Roux: Tasting & Drinking
Having tasted my way through the portfolio, it seems to me that some of the Domaine Roux wines are certainly worthy of our time; in particular I think the Quincyte cuvée one of the more convincing wines of the Quincy appellation I have tasted, surely a reflection of the exalted terroir from which it hails, clay and chalk being more typical of Reuilly than Quincy. And I don’t mind admitting that I found the red cuvée named Heritage from Châteaumeillant, an appellation I tend to associate more with rosé than with red, also had something to offer. This is clearly a domaine to watch out for, and I look forward to future encounters with the wines. (28/7/17)
