Domaine Adèle Rouzé: Tasting & Drinking

In view of Quincy’s ancient origins at the hands of monks, and its troubled times in the face of phylloxera and other threats, it is wonderful to see a young vigneronne such as Adèle Rouzé take control of a parcel of vines and produce a wine that is worthy of our attention. While the wines of Quincy, grown on silty and gravelly soils, will never challenge those from the greatest vineyards of Sancerre or Pouilly-Fumé, which are aided and reinforced by their limestone terroirs, there is certainly room in the world for attractive, good-value Sauvignons such as the one made chez Adèle.
