Bordeaux 2015 Primeurs: St Emilion Tasting Notes
The quality of wines presented by the premier grand cru classé domaines of St Emilion in the 2015 vintage is hugely impressive. Some wines are nothing short of stunning, candidates for wine of the vintage. In St Emilion, 2015 is a truly great vintage, as this quality runs through all levels below this top rung of the classification.
Some domaines still seem to underperform a little, but this is merely a feature of the appellation. All my notes below make clear which wines I adored, and which didn’t press my buttons. It is probably better to focus here on those other domaines, not yet discussed, which also did well.
