Denis Jamain: Tasting & Drinking
The wines of Denis Jamain are quite classic in style and go a long way to typify what we can expect from Reuilly as an appellation. The Sauvignon Blancs are made in a fresh style, lifted and biting. In the 2013 vintage they tended to display a very recognisable methoxypyrazine character, but this may be a reflection of the vintage. It would be interesting to assess these wines in an alternative vintage, especially 2012, which was very favourable for the Sauvignon Blancs of the Central Vineyards in my experience.
