Richard Leroy: Tasting & Drinking
On my first ever visit to meet Richard Leroy I tasted everything he could produce from his cellar, all the components of the latest vintage which would eventually be blended (and I have subsequently tasted the assembled wine of course), as well as a selection of older vintages from both climats. I later acquired some older vintages to learn more about where the domaine had come from, and since then I have tasted every subsequent vintage, either meeting up with Richard in Angers, or pulling bottles from my own cellar. I don’t mind admitting that this is one domaine where I am a regular buyer.
