Lamé Delisle Boucard: Vineyards

Lamé Delisle Boucard is located in the commune of Ingrandes de Touraine, at the eastern end of the Bourgueil appellation. Its closest neighbour of note is Domaine des Ouches, which is slightly further along the D71 which heads northwards here, towards the trees and through the forests that lie to the north. Not far to the west are a number of well-known Bourgueil domaines, including Catherine et Pierre Breton and Château de Minière.

The vineyard has now grown to 47 hectares, divided between more than sixty different parcels scattered across four of the Bourgueil appellation’s seven communes. In Ingrandes de Touraine they have vines on the gravels of Minières and Chesnaies, close to the aforementioned Château de Minière, on the sandy clay soils of Mont Sigou and Blotières, and on the clay-limestone terroirs of Brunetières and Bézards. Further east, in the commune of Saint Patrice, the most easterly of the Bourgueil appellation, the Boucard and Degaugue families have vines on sandy clay soils in Chevalerie, and on the fine gravels of Gravois.
