Domaine de la Chevalerie: Tasting & Drinking
There is no doubting that this domaine is one of the more significant of those that can be found dotted along the hillside above the towns of Bourgueil and St-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil. There is a magnificent heritage here, the extensive cellars rich in ancient vintages just waiting to be explored. The style is quite traditional, the wines very typical of what many people expect from Loire Valley Cabernet Franc, perfumed in youth, but full of autumnal nuances as they age, with touches of tobacco leaf, forest floor and undergrowth.
