Ronan by Clinet: Tasting & Drinking
The Ronan by Clinet project is by any measure an impressive undertaking. While Pomerol has the image of tiny production and very high prices, Ronan Laborde has turned that concept on its head. Within a few years he has created a new and seemingly very successful Bordeaux brand, turning out wines of good quality, in handsome volumes and at an affordable price, all achieved from within the Pomerol appellation. For a slice of Bordeaux action, indeed a slice of Pomerol action, at prices not generally associated with the Bordeaux marketplace, it seems to me that Ronan by Clinet is the obvious first port of call.
