Château Reynon: Tasting & Drinking
My strongest memory of tasting the wines of Château Reynon will always be with Denis Dubourdieu himself, when I visited him at the estate in October 2015. The white was fresh and enticing, but I was more struck by the red wine, which displayed a wonderful structure that could only come from vines on a rich limestone terroir. Nowhere else in Bordeaux have I experienced a wine so similar in structure to the great wines of Saumur-Champigny, with their great purity and shimmering energy.
