Château Montlandrie: Tasting & Drinking

I have been privileged enough to taste every vintage of Château Montlandrie made under the direction of Denis Durantou, beginning with his inaugural vintage, which was 2009. In many cases these were tastes of barrel samples rather than finished wines, nevertheless the fine quality available here has always been evident. The work Denis did on this estate is good evidence of the value of these clay and limestone terroirs in Castillon, and it was no surprise to me that he considered this vineyard his most important after Château L’Église-Clinet.
