Domaine de la Butte: Tasting & Drinking

It is his dedicated commitment to perfect quality fruit followed by a fairly restrained fermentation free of aggressive intervention that has seen Jacky Blot’s reputation rocket. Like all the producers of the Loire Valley he does not get a huge amount of press, especially when Domaine de la Butte is lined up against some more ‘trendy’ Bourgueil domaines, but those who have tasted his wines quickly seem to recognise their qualities.
