Aurélien Revillot: Tasting & Drinking
After our tour of the vines, illuminated by the light of a January moon, Aurélien and I headed back to his house for a tasting of the 2015 and 2014 vintages. Our prior experiences had not dissuaded my host from taking further short cuts through the vineyards of Bourgueil. “Time for some more Rallycross”, he joked, as he piloted the van down an incline of rough ground once again. Thankfully, there were no vines nearby, and gravity kept us moving along quite nicely until the wheels found the security of tarmac at the bottom of the slope.
