Wine Paris 2022

I am off to Wine Paris 2022, where I will be busy catching up with some hopefully still-familiar faces. I will be focusing on the Loire Valley, given that I have numerous Bordeaux reports already lined up for the site, as well as the forthcoming (or should that be looming?) primeurs. I will be tasting from Muscadet all the way up to Sancerre (I’m not sure if there are any exhibitors from the upper reaches of the Loire, from Roanne, Feurs or the Auvergne, but I will check).

Wine Paris 2022

This is the first large salon I am attending in more than two years, the Salon des Vins de Loire having been cancelled in 2021 and 2022, and last year’s Wine Paris went the same way. Grand salons such as these are a good way to catch up with a large number of domaines in a short space of time so I am looking forward to it. Obviously I will be adhering to all the local ‘sanitary measures’. I would like to return with some new tasting notes, perhaps having met a few new faces among the familiar, and some new material for Winedoctor. I would rather return without any new Covid-19 ‘experiences’. Maybe I will press my old anti-Brett outfit into use:

Wine Paris 2022

I will be at Wine Paris 2022 for three days, with a slow return journey determined by airline schedules rather than any desire to linger in Paris. So I won’t be updating the site for much of the week beginning February 14th. I anticipate the next site update will be Friday February 18th. (12/2/22)
