Bordeaux 2019 This Week

The Bordeaux 2019 en primeur releases are puttering gently along now, with some days quite busy. It feels far from hectic, although I suspect those in the trade trying to put together offers for their clients, in the face of a dozen releases arriving in the space of half an hour, might think differently.

After last week’s faltering start I will be posting many more Bordeaux 2019 notes this week, continuing with the wines of 2019 Pauillac tomorrow, followed the day after by the premier grand cru classé wines of St Emilion, and then later in the week more from the left bank with St Julien (although some of these samples only just arrived today).

Later in the week , and then more right-bank wines (I did say last week the order might be a bit random), either more from St Emilion, or the wines of Pomerol.

In the meantime I just tidied up last week’s 2019 St Estèphe report, which now includes three more tasting notes, on the latest vintage from Château Lafon-Rochet, Château Beau-Site and Château de Pez.
