New Zealand Profiles

Three profiles concentrating on reds rather than the whites for which New Zealand is more widely known. But with excellent Pinot Noir from Central Otago, and a number of producers willing to try their hand at Bordeaux-style blends, how long can it be before Sauvignon Blanc's crown finally slips?

Carrick (11/8/04) Top quality from Central Otago.
Cloudy Bay (18/1/07) Home to Pelorus and that famous Sauvignon Blanc.
Peacock Ridge (29/9/05) Fine wines in the Bordeaux mould.
Redmetal Vineyards (22/11/05) Merlot dominated wines from Hawkes Bay.
