Ten, Fifteen and Twenty Years On

The ten-year-on tasting is an annual event which I look forward to immensely. Less frequent (sadly!) have been the twenty-year tastings. I find many wines show best at fifteen years though.

• The 1996 Vintage (28/12/06) Great wines from the Loire and beyond.
• The 1995 Vintage (28/12/05) A broad spread of wines this year.
• The 1994 Vintage (30/12/04) A esoteric selection of wines.
• The 1993 Vintage (18/12/03) A 1993 blind tasting and dinner.
• The 1992 Vintage (11/12/02) A vintage for the New World.
• The 1991 Vintage (13/12/01) Northern Rhône and California excel.
• The 1990 Vintage (7/8/00) Success was almost universal.

• The 1996 Vintage (13/12/11) Champagne and Bordeaux excel. In two parts.
• The 1995 Vintage (7/12/10) A broad spread of European styles.

• The 1991 Vintage (26/7/11) Spain and Portugal dominate this line-up of ten wines.
