Emilio Lustau Almacenista Vides

Vides was founded by Don Tomas Domecq Rivero in 1958, and is located near the Emilio Lustau buildings in Santiago. Don Tomas' grandson, Don Vernando Leon Manjon Domecq now runs the business. The family also own the Esparta vineyard in Carrascal, a region renowned for the production of Palomino destined for high quality Oloroso and Palo Cortado. No coincidence then that the cellars of Vides are an excellent source of fine Palo Cortado - one of the finest available in my opinion - as well as Oloroso; the soleras are between 15 and 20 years of age.
