Rodet Bourgogne Pinot Noir de Vieilles Vignes 1996

Rodet Bourgogne Pinot Noir de Vieilles Vignes 1996 label image

Rodet Bourgogne Pinot Noir de Vieilles Vignes 1996: In the glass the wine has a vibrant, cherry red hue, and slow to form legs that at least promise something. The nose is initially earthy undergrowth accompanied by aromas of animal hair, with strawberry and cherry nuances. The palate has good body, with evident tannins and a pleasing texture. The acidity makes for good balance. There is a mouth-watering, meaty savouriness to the flavour profile, with those drying tannins evident on the finish. Little length. Overall quite enjoyable. Good.
