Poliziano Rosso di Montepulciano 2001: In the glass this wine is a dense, red-black hue. Fresh, vibrant, cherry and black fruit aromas on the nose. Awkward on the palate at first, but with some time it comes together to make a rounded, integrated impression. Plenty of sour-cherry fruit with a savoury, mouth-watering edge. Nice tannic structure and typically firm acidity. Good weight. 16.5+/20 (19/9/03)
