Louis Latour Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru Les Chaillots 1995

Louis Latour Aloxe Corton 1er Cru Les Chaillots 1995 label image

Louis Latour Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru Les Chaillots 1995: A pale yet vibrant cherry red hue in the glass, fading to a pink at the rim. Thin, oily legs. The nose initially has primary strawberry and black cherry aromas, opening out in the glass to reveal subtle, perfumed scents of violets, some blackberry and a hint of oak. An attractive full-medium, creamily textured body, smooth although not quite silky tannins which are still fairly prominent. Correct acidity, with predominantly fruit flavours. There is a spiciness developing through the palate, culminating with a tingling, peppery finish. Good length. Good. (13/9/00)
