Domaine de la Lande Bourgueil Cuvée Les Pins 2003: A youthful, damson
and cherry red hue, which offers promise. Rather muted on the nose, though,
showing too subtle notes of blackberry and raspberry jam, with a brambly nuance.
Medium body apparent on entry, nice, appropriate acidity, but overall rather
lean, in texture as well as impact. In its favour it does show a little of the
desirable silkiness we might look for, but it is a little hollow through the midpalate, and
has a
short finish. Overall this lacks interest, and is a real disappointment
considering this was such a favourable vintage. 14/20
