Egon Müller Scharzhofberger Riesling Kabinett 1998: This wine has a remarkably pale hue, almost crystal clear, with just a tinge of green. It's fairly simple on the nose which, although packed with a precise and well-defined aroma of juicy limes, is somewhat one dimensional. There is a tiny hint of smoky slate in the background. Quite elegant on the palate, just off-dry rather than sweet, with a delicious texture.
