Crusius Traiser Rotenfels
Riesling Auslese 1994: This wine has a wonderfully complex
nose, at first offering up limes, orange marmalade and tropical fruits,
together with petrol aromas, then honey, slate and minerals. Fantastic
weight and texture are immediately apparent, as soon as the wine hits
the palate. Full and rounded, with fairly low acidity, although with a
fresh, tingling lime character. Full of fruit and mineral flavours. A
delightful surprise. It's clear that the fine wines of Germany don't
just come from the Mosel.
