Although I have hinted at my Grand Cru Bordeaux Experience trip before, this is the first chance I have had to reveal the full line up of visits. The dates for the trip are now firmed up, as are all the visits. So if you’re free from October 24th to the 27th this year, and you fancy gaining access to a smorgasbord of top Bordeaux châteaux, including Yquem, Haut-Brion, Pichon-Baron and Troplong-Mondot, then maybe my tour with Winedoctor sponsor SmoothRed will be of interest!
Here’s the itinerary, in brief:
24th October 2013 – St Emilion: Early flight from London Gatwick to Bordeaux. Visit and lunch at Château Troplong-Mondot. Dinner and hotel in Bordeaux City.
25th October 2013 – Graves and Sauternes: Château Haut-Brion, tasting then lunch. Then onto Château dYquem.
26th October 2013 – The Médoc: Tour up the famous ‘Route des Châteaux’. Visit to Château Pontet-Canet, then lunch at Château Pichon-Longueville. In the afternoon, we hope to go to Château Rauzan Segla (we’re just waiting for confirmation).
27th October 2013 – Bordeaux and Graves: Final day. Time in Bordeaux city, followed by lunch and tasting at Château Haut-Bailly. Fly back to London early evening.
Prices: £1589.00 per person for 3 star hotel option (based on double room occupancy), £1829.00 per person for 5 star upgrade option (also based on double room occupancy).
There are fourteen places, and apparently some have already gone (!!). If interested, check out the SmoothRed itinerary here: Grand Cru Bordeaux Experience or phone Adam on +44 (0) 207 1988 369, or email him on firstname.lastname@example.org .
