The GPS Project and Other News

An update on my GPS project now, which I first mentioned back in this blog post. I’m happy to report I have now finished adding GPS data to all my left bank Bordeaux profiles, complete with links through to Google Maps in every case. You’ll find the data and link in the contact details below the profile text but above the tasting notes, such as here (taken from my Haut-Brion profile):

Contact details:
Address: 135, avenue Jean Jaurès, 33600 Pessac
Telephone: +33 (0) 5 56 00 29 30
Fax: +33 (0) 5 56 98 75 14
Internet: www.haut-brion.com
GPS: 44.816622, -0.608625

Where other profiles have been updated (e.g. Fontodi) I’ve also added GPS data, but my intention (at present) is not to roll this out across the whole site, but to get the Loire and Bordeaux done first.

Other News

In the meantime I’ve been working on a few other backroom developments. Some aren’t worth publicising, but the addition of social media buttons for Twitter, Facebook and Google across the content pages of the site will no doubt be noticed by many. I’ve tested the latter two, but not being a Twitter user haven’t done so with the former. Feel free to test, and do let me know if it’s broken!
