Chateau de Pibarnon Bandol 1990 label image

This wine is from Bandol, an appellation renowned for its Mourvèdre-based red wines in Provence. Beneath the crest is the name of the producer, Château de Pibarnon, one of the more respected estates in this appellation. The vintage, 1990, was a good year across all appellations of France, and indeed most of Europe. Mis en bouteille du Château tells us that the wine has been bottled at the winery, rather than sold in barrel or bulk. In quite small type at the foot of the label is some information regarding the owner of the château, Comte de Saint Victor.
